Computing in Japanese Language |
|
|
MSRP is Maker Suggested Retail Price. In Japan, most makers set prices
on the items before releasing. Books, toys, music CDs, anime DVD, anime
goods, or high-grade cosmetics are just sold at MSRP. However, the prices
of some items are reduced at shops: PC software, video games, electronics,
apparels, or cosmetics.
|
A 5% Consumption Tax(Sales Tax) is levied on all items in Japanese shops.
If you get items on auctions, you usually do not need to pay 5% tax, but sometimes you will be required to pay the tax from sellers.
If you want to check or compare regular prices of various merchandise on the Japan market, some websites may help you to do them although it is required to understand Japanese language a little to browse.(We put translated site links. They take time to display pages for translating.
If you wait for a while and the page is shown incorrectly, reload the page.)
